Membership of Cork Craft and Design
Since the establishment of CPCF 9 years ago, Cork Craft and Design has developed and grown to become a powerful and important advocate for craftspeople in Cork city and county. Our flagship event Cork Craft Month has been running successfully for the past 3 years and in that time, it has become a firm fixture in the Irish Creative calendar, raising the profile of Cork Craft both nationally and internationally. Surveys have shown that participants in Cork Craft Month have increased sales of their work by an average of 1000 euro during the event.
Our CCD website continues to showcase your work to the world. Cork Craft and Design has a strong growing digital presence on Facebook and Twitter also. Cork Craft and Design. CCD continues to work with many other craft guilds and organisations throughout Cork e.g. The West Cork Guild, Cork Potters, Cork Textile Network , Wood turners Guild. We would urge you to make the most of your membership of this organisation by engaging fully with the group.
CAD aims to be as inclusive as possible, but it is essential that minimum standards of work are maintained in order to give the organization credibility and a ‘professional’ status. To qualify for membership of CAD you must be:
· A member of the Crafts Council of Ireland.
· Derive at least 50% of your income from your art.
· All work should be made by you in Cork County.
· Good quality jpg images of your work to be provided

Cork Craft and Design provides many opportunities to raise your profile and expand your CV.
Members may also submit their work for consideration to the ‘Handmade in Cork’ retail or gallery brand’s affording new promotion and sales opportunities nationally and internationally.
*Unlike many galleries and other organisations CCD take a minimum commission at our pop up events assuring the craft worker greater income.
Plans for 2013 include expanding the reach of Craft Month, developing and exhibiting the ‘Handmade in Cork’ brand throughout Ireland and the UK, the new photography scheme for all members and a Craft Forum Event in Cork (Autumn/winter 2013).
