My Story

I grew up on a small mixed farm in West Cork and am totally influenced by my rural surroundings. My love of working with wood stemmed from participating in an evening class and it has developed from there. My inspiration comes from nature, people, history and is thus reflected in all my pieces. Wood is such a beautiful material to work with and it retains so much of it’s energy and life force after it is felled. All of my pieces are crafted by hand and many finished pieces will show my chisel marks. Each piece has a story to tell as each tree is unique and is a result of the site in which it grew.
