My Story
Katie is a creator based in Bweeng, North Cork. Inspired by nature and the elements, she works mostly with encaustics, but also with acrylics and other mixed media to create a variety of pieces from Gloundine Studio.
Katie works to capture emotion and a sense of place and belonging in her original pieces, with a story behind every one. Leaning into her values of Creativity, Courage and Connection she hopes to inspire and empower those on their own personal, professional and creative journeys, through her pieces and workshops.
Katie created Gloundine Studio in 2021, to pursue her passion for creating. An Arts graduate from University College Cork, she spent many years working in process improvement for industry and
professional development within the educational sector before embarking on this step of her creative journey.
