Are you a professional craft maker or designer working in County Cork or do you run a gallery or craft shop in Cork County? Then we would love to hear from you!

BENEFITS OF BEING A MEMBER

Membership of Cork Craft & Design is open to makers and designers who are living and working in Cork.

Benefits include:

  • Direct selling opportunities through CCD events — locally and nationally

  • Submit work for Cork Craft Month exhibitions with the opportunity to sell your work there

  • Craft work stocked at the Cork Craft & Design shop in Douglas and online at cork craftanddesign.com

  • Publicity and promotion through media releases and photo calls throughout the year

  • Online promotion on the Cork Craft & Design website and social media accounts

  • A monthly members-only newsletter

  • Access to an annual Cork Craft & Design photography scheme, offering subsidised sessions with a professional photographer

  • Networking opportunities

  • CCD does not represent those working in painting

Unlike many galleries and other organisations, Cork Craft & Design takes a minimum commission at our pop-up events, assuring the craft worker greater income.

How To Apply

This is a voluntary group who reviews applications every quarter and as such the application process can take up to 12 weeks.

Please click on the ‘Membership Application Form’ button below in order to complete your application: Members are preferably registered with the Design and Craft Council of Ireland. If not registered with Design and Craft Council of Ireland, the membership committee can recommend to the Board to accept or refuse an application for membership, depending on the quality of the applicant’s work. Cork Craft & Design does not represent those working in painting.

Once a member is accepted into membership, she/he will continue to be a member as long as the annual subscription is paid, when due. A lapsed member will be eligible to apply to rejoin the group. Such application will be treated as a new application for membership.

The current annual membership fee is €70 per individual & €100 per couple (working in 2 different disciplines). New membership applications are considered by a sub-committee. This is a voluntary group who meet monthly and as such the application process can take between 4-6 weeks.
